We are excited to invite prospective families to our Concordia Open Evening on Tuesday, 31 March, from 4.00pm to 6.30pm.
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience firsthand what makes Concordia a College where every student is fully known and fully loved. Our staff and students are excited to showcase the programs, spaces and learning culture that set Concordia apart.
During the evening, families will be able to explore some of the exceptional opportunities we offer, including:
- Outdoor Education – building resilience, leadership and a deep appreciation for the natural world
- The HIVE (STEM) – a dynamic hub where curiosity, innovation and problem‑solving come to life
- Agriculture – hands‑on learning that connects students with sustainable practices and real‑world skills
- Vibrant Arts Programs – cultivating creativity through music, visual art, drama and performance
- Thriving Sports Programs – encouraging teamwork, wellbeing and excellence across a wide range of sports
We warmly invite you to come and discover the difference at Concordia. Meet our passionate educators, chat with current students, and explore the learning environments that shape confident, capable young people.
We look forward to welcoming future Concordia families. We also invite our current community to help us spread the word—please distribute the attached flyer and share this event with anyone who may be interested in attending.

Next Step Survey
2026 Next Step Year 12 Completers Survey
The Next Step Year 12 Completers survey opens on 17 March 2026. All Year 12 completers from 2025 will receive a letter from the Minister for Education inviting them to participate in this five-minute survey to help our school understand the different pathways of our graduates. This helps us to improve services for future students, and respondents have the chance to win a MacBook Air.
We ask parents, siblings and friends to encourage our graduates to complete the survey. They may also be contacted by email or phone from the Queensland Government Statistician’s Office.

Once a Concordian, always a Concordian: Mark’s story.
From ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ to the United States, Mark Singh-Hueter has built a life of service, leadership and faith. After graduating in 1978, Mark returned to the United States, where he studied mathematics and computer science at university. His Concordia education helped prepare him well for his next chapter, including four years in the United States Air Force working as a missile defence simulation programmer.
Mark later followed his calling into ministry. After completing seminary, he was ordained as a pastor and has since served congregations in Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania.
Today, Mark is the Senior Pastor at Advent Lutheran Church in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, just north of Philadelphia. Looking back, Mark says his time at Concordia shaped many of the values that guided his career. "I always tell people I learned responsibility and discipline at Concordia. The education prepared me well academically, and the community helped shape my faith and character.
"Mark also fondly remembers the friendships, music and sport that were such a big part of school life, from playing multiple sports each afternoon to performing with the folk group and singing in chapel services.
His advice for today’s Concordia students is simple: "Take advantage of every opportunity. The education is excellent, but the experiences in sport, the arts and the community help you grow in so many ways. "We love hearing where our Concordians have gone next.
If you are planning a school reunion or would like to share your own story, we would love to hear from you. Once a Concordian, always a Concordian.
